Using Black Life in America and Hispanic Life in America Databases (30 minutes) In-Person
Newsbank/Readex is offering $500 awards to two Whittier College students whose senior research project incorporates either their Black Lives in America and/or Hispanic Life in America databases, available through the Library’s A-Z Databases page. This workshop with explore both of these websites, focusing on using newspaper and historical documents as a primary source in research. We will survey their advanced map/topics based search tools, learn how to evaluate, refine and organize results, and create a personalized account.
Suggested for: Seniors working on research projects but open to all.
